Steven L. Godbey
Steve Godbey grew up in the construction industry, his family owned a concrete construction company that was started by his grandfather in the 1920's. Steve worked for the family firm until the early 1980"s, when an opportunity came along to go into the inspection and testing industry. In 1986 he started Southwest Inspection and Testing company, using a family California corporation that was founded in 1956. Steve is a well known presence in the industry, being fair, honest and trustworthy are his trademarks. Steve imparts that attitude to all of his employees and insures that they reflect those same values. Kathy Godbey has been with Southwest since 1986, she understands the inspection and testing industry very well. Kathy oversees all of the billing operations in the firm, she has experience in billing, project budgets, project budget tracking, and cost analysis for future project estimating. Kathy has been a major key to the success of the company. Ms. Godbey holds a degree in interior design.

Jacob L. Godbey is third generation in the Geotechnical, Inspection and Testing Industry. Mr. Godbey has over 10 years of experience developing the commercial, educational and hospital divisions of Southwest Inspection and Testing. Overseeing business development, cost management, project scheduling, cost estimating and document control. Mr. Godbey is committed to raising the bar in his industry. Holding a masters degree in cognitive behavioral psychology and graduating summa cum lade at the top of his class from the University of San Francisco. Mr. Godbey takes a hands on leadership approach with his clients and team members. Mr. Godbey believes in hiring the top individuals in his industry, giving clients the quality they deserve.
